UNIVERSITY OF IBADAN GIVES INSTRUCTIONS ON THE 2022/2023 ACADEMIC SESSION MATRICULATION CEREMONY

The Matriculation Ceremony for 2022/2023 Academie Session has been scheduled to take placeon Wednesday,14hFebruary,2024 at 9:00a.m prompt in the University Auditorium.To thisend,Secretaries/Faculty Officers are enjoined to note the following instructions:

1. As it is the tradition of the University,matriculating students are expected to beproperly robed in the academic gowns already allocated to your Faculty.Distributionshould be strictly based on listed namesin the dummy register that will be forwardedto you;

2. Faculty Officers are to ensure that Matriculating students are decently and formallydressed for the ceremony

3. Matriculating students are expected to sign the Matriculation Register immediatelyafter the ceremony,and in any case,not later than 24 hours after the ceremony.Faculty Officers are therefore to widely publicize te venue for the signing of theregister for their various Faculties and forward same to the Deputy Registrar(Academic Support  Services, Examinations and Records). Failure of Matriculatingstudents to sign and collect their Matriculation numbers on the day so assigned shallnot be countenanced and could result in the loss of their studentship:

4. Faculty Officers are expected to submit a duly signed copy of the Matriculation Register to the Academic Support Services not later than 3:30p.m on 21″ February.2024:

5. The Matriculation Oath Forms which should be collected by all Faculty Officers onWednesday 14 February,2024 should be submitted by the Matriculating studentsin the first week of the Rain Semester.

6. All Matriculating students are expected to pay a sum of Eight Hundred Naira (N800.00) only to be collected by the Faculty Accountants; and

7. Procession commences at 6:40a.m.in the former Faculty of Arts building and allMatriculating Students are expected to have been seated by 7:30a.m prompt on theday of Matriculation.
