The Oyo State College of Agriculture and Technology, Igboora (OYSCATECH), has appointed Mr. Ogundapo as the substantive Bursar of OYSCATECH.
OGUNDAPO APPOINTED AS OYSCATECH SUBSTANTIVE BURSAR
Mr. Modupe Aderemi Ogundapo has been appointed as the substantive Bursar for Oyo State College of Agriculture and Technology (OYSCATECH), Igboora.
According to a letter signed by the Governing Council Chairman of the Institution, Prof. Lateef Sanni, “I am pleased to inform you that the Honourable Commissioner for Education Science and Technology, Prof Salihu Abdulwaheed Adelabu vide a letter with Ref. No. C.2416F/14 dated 25th April, 24 has graciously approved your appointment as Substantive Bursar for Oyo State College of Agriculture and Technology, Igboora for a single term of four years, effective from 26th April, 2024.”
Until his appointment, Mr. Modupe Ogundapo had been in acting capacity since January 1, 2023.
Mr. Ogundapo hails from Ogbomoso North Local Government Area of Oyo State.
He attended Adeniran Memorial Grammar School, Ogbomoso between 1983–1988.
The Newly appointed Bursar, Mr. Aderemi Ogundapo holds Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State. He was offered admission in 2009 and graduated with First Class in Accounting in 2011.
Between 1999-2001, Mr. Ogundapo studied Accountancy at Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic, Ikot-Osurua, where he obtained Higher National Diploma in accountancy.
Mr. Ogundapo joined the services of Oyo State College of Agriculture and Technology, Igboora in October 2008 as a Senior Accountant and rose to the position of Deputy Bursar in 2017.
As an astute accountant, Mr. Ogundapo’s experience was not limited to the public sector but touches the private sector, some of which include; Bolakol Communications and K.S Motels.
Upon the establishment of Accountancy department at the Oyo State College of Agriculture and Technology, Igboora, Mr. Ogundapo served as the acting Head of Department between 2016 -2019.
As a scholar, Mr. Modupe Ogundapo co-published two books namely Fundamentals of Accounting 1 and Fundamentals of Cost Accounting 1.
Also in OYSCATECH, Mr. Ogundapo contributed positively to the advancement of the institution having served in various committees, some of which include; Member, Health Management Committee, Member, Farm Product Sales Committee, Member, Member Projects Committee among others.
The Financial Guru is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and Fellow Chartered Institute of Commerce of Nigeria (CICN).
Mr. Modupe Ogundapo is married to Mrs. Olufunke Ogundapo and the union is blessed with glorious children.
The Rector, Prof. Akinola Akinlabi on behalf of the Management and the Governing Council Chairman, Prof. Lateef Sanni had since congratulated him.
