NELFUND EXTENDS 2025 2026 STUDENT LOAN APPLICATION DEADLINE TO FEBRUARY 27 2026
Legitdan News reports that the Nigerian Education Loan Fund has extended the application deadline for the 2025 2026 academic session.
According to the official statement released in Abuja on January 29 2026, the new deadline has been moved from January 31 2026 to February 27 2026.
NELFUND explained that the extension is to allow prospective applicants additional time to complete and submit their applications. The move is aimed at ensuring no eligible student is left out due to time constraints.
The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of NELFUND, Mr Akintunde Sawyer, stated that the decision supports inclusion and access for Nigerian students seeking education funding support.
NELFUND advised all applicants who are yet to apply or complete their submissions to use the extended period to provide all required information before the new deadline.
The fund added that further updates will be shared through its official communication channels and social media platforms.
