MISSING LASU STUDENT: CONCERN GROWS OVER DISAPPEARANCE OF AYOBAMI ADEOTI AFTER SUSPICIOUS DELIVERY CALL
Legitdan News reports that tension is rising within the Lagos State University (LASU) community following the mysterious disappearance of a 200-level student, Adeoti Ayobami Anu (Matric No: 232301203011), who has been missing since Monday, April 29, 2025, between 10:00 am and 11:00 am.
Ayobami, a student of the English Education Department (Module 2) and a young entrepreneur known for selling perfumes, was last seen after receiving a call from someone claiming to be based in Abuja. The caller requested she deliver fragrance products through a Lagos contact. She was initially directed to Oshodi but later redirected to Cele in Lagos.
Before reaching the new location, she tried contacting a friend to share her updated location, but the call failed due to poor network. Moments later, her phone went off and has remained unreachable.
Efforts by her friends to trace the Abuja buyer led to a Lagos-based individual who suspiciously claimed Ayobami was being tracked for alleged involvement in a POS fraud case. He also claimed to be at a police station on a court order from Kaduna State, but refused to disclose the exact police station’s name or location — raising serious concerns.
“This is highly suspicious and disturbing,” said Samuel Johnson, PRO of Module 2, in a joint statement with Ogundero Tomiwa, GHOC. “We call on security agencies and the public to help locate Ayobami urgently.”
The LASU community is calling on the Lagos State Police Command, university authorities, and the general public to assist in ensuring her safe return.
