JAMB SET TO REVIEW 2025 UTME RESULT COMPLAINTS ON MAY 15

Legitdan News reports that the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that it will review complaints surrounding the recently released 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) results on Thursday, May 15, 2025.

This comes amid increasing concerns from candidates, parents, and education stakeholders who have questioned certain aspects of the examination’s administration and outcome. In response, JAMB has formed a special review panel to examine the entire process and ensure transparency and fairness.

The panel will critically assess the conduct of the UTME, highlight any issues that may have affected candidates, and propose solutions to improve the examination system in future years.

Members of the panel include key players from the education sector such as:

Representatives from the All Nigeria Confederation of Principals of Secondary Schools (ANCOPSS)
National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools (NAPPS)
Chief External Examiners
Computer Professionals Registration Council of Nigeria (CPN)
Educational Assessment and Research Network
Vice Chancellors, Rectors, and Provosts of various institutions

Also included is Mr. Alex Onyia, the CEO of EDUCARE, who received an official invitation from JAMB as part of efforts to engage relevant stakeholders in the review process. JAMB clarified that participation in the panel is voluntary and comes at no financial cost to the Board.

This step is part of JAMB’s commitment to improving the integrity, transparency, and efficiency of its examination process. The Board hopes that the outcome of the review will strengthen the UTME and restore public trust in the system.
