FUNATO RELEASES 2025 2026 RESUMPTION AND ACADEMIC CALENDAR

The Federal University of Applied Technology has announced its resumption date, academic calendar, matriculation process and accommodation plan for the 2025 2026 session.

Legitdan news report that the Federal University of Applied Technology has released an official academic schedule and resumption details for the 2025 2026 academic session.

The announcement was issued by the Office of the Registrar and is directed mainly at newly admitted students who have paid their acceptance fee. The university senate approved the resumption date, academic calendar, matriculation process and accommodation arrangements.

The first semester will begin with resumption on Friday March 6 2026. Registration will take place from March 6 to March 10 2026, while orientation is scheduled for March 11 to March 19 2026. Lectures will start on Monday March 23 2026. Matriculation is fixed for Wednesday April 22 2026. Lectures will end on Friday June 26 2026, followed by revision from June 29 to July 3 2026. Examinations will run from Monday July 6 to Friday July 17 2026. The semester break is scheduled from July 20 to July 31 2026, while first semester results will be approved on Wednesday August 12 2026.

The second semester will commence with lectures on Monday August 3 2026 and end on Friday October 23 2026. Revision will take place from October 26 to October 30 2026. Examinations will be held from Monday November 2 to Friday November 13 2026. Results processing will run from November 16 to November 27 2026, while end of session and results approval is scheduled for Monday November 30 2026.

The university also announced that the 2026 2027 academic session will begin on Monday December 14 2026.

The institution stated that matriculation numbers will be issued soon and only students who have paid their acceptance fee will receive matriculation numbers. The matriculation number will be required for payment of school fees and completion of registration.

On accommodation, the university explained that it does not yet have sufficient school owned hostels on campus. The institution is adopting a public private partnership arrangement with private hostel owners around the university. The hostels will be off campus, approved by the school, regulated in terms of rent and monitored for security. Students will be provided with a list and application process for approved hostels at a later date. Staying in the approved hostels is optional as students are allowed to make independent accommodation arrangements.

The university also confirmed that admission is still ongoing. Candidates can still apply through the JAMB portal, change institution to the university and complete the online screening process, provided they meet course requirements.
