Legitdan News reports that the Federal University of Agriculture and Technology, Okeho (FUNATO), has approved its academic calendar for the 2025/2026 academic session.

The approval followed the consideration of reports presented to the University Senate on the institution’s preparedness for students’ resumption.

According to the calendar, resumption for the new academic session is scheduled for Friday, March 6, 2026, while registration will run from March 6 to March 10, 2026.

Orientation for newly admitted students will hold from March 11 to March 19, 2026, while first semester lectures will begin on Monday, March 23, 2026.

Matriculation is slated for April 22, 2026. First semester lectures will end on June 26, 2026, followed by revision from June 29 to July 3, 2026.

First semester examinations will commence on July 6 and end on July 17, 2026, with semester break scheduled from July 20 to July 31, 2026.

Second semester lectures will begin on August 3, 2026, and end on October 23, 2026. Examinations will run from November 2 to November 13, 2026.

The academic session will officially end on November 30, 2026, while the 2026/2027 session is expected to commence on December 14, 2026.

The university also disclosed that matriculation numbers will be issued to students who have paid their acceptance fees.

Management added that hostel accommodation will be provided through partnerships within host communities at regulated rates, with allocation details to be announced later.

Prospective candidates were further informed that admission processes are ongoing, and interested applicants can still apply or process change of institution through JAMB.
