FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY, AKURE [FUTA] RELEASES UTME AND DIRECT ENTRY SCREENING FORM FOR 2024/2025 UNDERGRADUATE ADMISSIONS
REGISTRATION INFORMATION
The Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) has announced the commencement of online registration for the Post-UTME screening exercise for admission into all courses/programmes for the 2024/2025 academic session. The registration starts on Wednesday, 7th August, and ends on Friday, 20th September, 2024.
ELIGIBILITY
Candidates must meet the following criteria to be eligible for the screening:
- Scored a minimum of 180 in the 2024 UTME conducted by JAMB.
- Made FUTA their first choice institution.
- Possess at least five (5) credit passes including English Language and Mathematics at not more than two (2) sittings in O’ level examinations conducted by WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, or their equivalent.
- Direct Entry (DE) candidates must also meet the criteria mentioned above.
METHOD OF APPLICATION
Candidates are required to:
- Visit the University website www.futa.edu.ng for information.
- Complete and submit the University Post-UTME Application Form online.
- Print out a copy of the Registration Form.
REGISTRATION PROCEDURE
The Registration Form is mandatory for all eligible candidates to complete for the screening exercise. Candidates must ensure their UTME Registration Number and Full names (as it appears on JAMB slip) are correctly provided at the point of payment and registration.
After payment, each candidate should visit the University website and complete the online Registration Form.
SCREENING FEE
The screening fee is Two Thousand Naira (N2,000:00) only, payable at any bank on the Remita platform after generating the necessary code.
Candidates who fail to register within the stipulated period will not be eligible for the screening.

Please note the following:
- Any UTME candidate who is not screened will not be considered for admission.
- Candidates must have reached the age of 16 years by 1st October, 2024.
- Ensure O’ level results are uploaded on JAMB CAPS and shared with FUTA on or before Friday, 20th September, 2024. Failure to do this will render the affected candidates ineligible for admission.
