ECWA COLLEGE OF NURSING SCIENCE, EGBE (ECONS) ISSUES IMPORTANT NOTICE TO PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS FOR 2024/2025 ADMISSION PROCESS

ECWA College of Nursing Sciences, Egbe (ECONS) is pleased to inform all prospective students for the forthcoming round of admission, 2024/2025 Academic Session, that they should apply through JAMB and write the forth coming Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

This becomes necessary as the school is in the process of transitioning to a College and will soon be listed on the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board’s (JAMB) Central Admission Processing (CAP) system. Note that the UTME is a standardized examination body that serves as a prerequisite for admission into tertiary institutions in Nigeria. As a result, all candidates who are interested in ECWA College of Nursing Sciences, Egbe are required to write the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) conducted by JAMB.

While we understand that the school is yet to be listed on JAMB CAP, prospective students are to choose other schools for now and do a change of institution to ECONS after the College has been listed on JAMB CAP. (We understand this is a kind of rigorous process and at an extra cost, we therefore regret all inconveniences about that).

Prospective students are to ensure that their subjects’ combination in the UTME corresponds with the requirements for Nursing. These subjects include English Language, Mathematics, Biology and either Physics or Chemistry. You should also note that O.Level requirements in WASCCE, NECO or any in other recognised examination body must not be less than five credit passes, in one sitting, to include English Language, General Mathematics, Biology, Physics and Chemistry.

The decision to transit to a College and be listed on JAMB Admission CAP is a significant milestone for the College as it will provide prospective students with a wider range of opportunities and increase the visibility and recognition of the College.

We, therefore, encourage all interested candidates to take advantage of this opportunity and register for the forthcoming UTME. However, it is imperative to note that only candidates who meet the minimum requirements set by JAMB and the College Admission Policy will be considered for admission. Therefore, we advise all prospective students to prepare adequately for the examination.

Note also that this admission process, coming through UTME (JAMB) will continue in subsequent years.
