
BENUE STATE UNIVERSITY (BSU) RELEASES FIRST BATCH ADMISSION LIST FOR THE 2024/2025 ACADEMIC SESSION
RELEASE OF ADMISSIONS INTO UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMMES FOR THE 2024/2025 ACADEMIC SESSION
This is to inform all candidates who applied for admission into the Benue State University for the 2024/2025 academic session that the FIRST LIST of admissions into undergraduate programmes of the Benue State University for the 2024/2025 academic session (as approved by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board JAMB) has been released. Accordingly, all candidates whose names are on the FIRST LIST are expected to have accepted their admission and printed JAMB admission letters on the Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) already. Those yet to accept their offer on JAMB portal should proceed to do so without delay in line with JAMB Guidelines:
“There shall be a grace period of four (4) weeks within which all approved admissions must be accepted by the candidates failure which such admissions will be deleted and the candidate placed under “failure to accept category”, punishable by ineligibility to be admitted again in the current admission circle”.
2. Candidates are to confirm their admission status on the BSU portal by paying a non-refundable Admission Verification fee of Three Thousand Naira (N3000.00) only using the e-payment procedure.
3. Candidates are to pay an acceptance fee of Twenty Five Thousand Naira (N25,000.00) only using the e-payment procedure.
4. Successfully screened candidates (Online) by the Academic Office should proceed to pay their User-Charges as provided in their respective faculties using the e-payment procedure.
5. All screened candidates who have paid their User-Charges should revisit the Portal, click on the login link using JAMB registration number as default username and password to login and access their profile to do the following:
i. Change your default Password (8 characters with upper & lower cases, symbols and figures);
ii. Fill out the pre-bio-data form and update bio-data under “my profile menu”;
iii. Click on Registration Menu to register semester courses; and
iv. Print out admission acknowledgement slip, course registration and screening forms. Complete as appropriate and proceed for signing at designated places as indicated on the course registration form.
6. The Guidelines on E-PAYMENT are as follows:
i. Visit https://portal.bsum.edu.ng/app_payment
ii. Enter your UTME Registration Number and Click on Confirm Details Button
iii. Scroll Down and select ADMISSION CHECKING from Payment Category;
iv. Click on “Generate Invoice” to generate payment number;
THERE ARE TWO PAYMENT OPTIONS:
A. CASH PAYMENTS AT BANK:
Before proceeding to the bank, Click on Pay Cash at the Bank Button and printout your Payment Reference Number slip and take it to the bank for Payment. On receipt of cash from you, the Bank using “College Pay” will process your transaction and generate Payment Receipt for you. Visit any commercial Bank nation-wide to make payment.
B. PAYMENT USING QUICKTELLER FROM THE INTERNET:
Click on Pay on www. Quickteller.com Button. This will navigate you to
www.quickteller.com/bsum to complete your transaction. On getting to this page carefully follow the underlisted steps;
i. Insert your UTME Registration number
ii. Insert your email and mobile number and click “continue”
iii. Follow the instructions on the screen to complete your payment
iv. Print out the payment confirmation slip
v. Return to the portal and print out a payment receipt
Notes:
• Candidates are to note that checking of admission status, acceptance of admission, on-line screening, payment of school fees, and course registration on the University Portal shall take place from Tuesdays 18th March, 2025.
• Forgery of any kind will attract automatic withdrawal of the admission offered and possible prosecution.
• Candidates whose names are not on the first list are to specifically note that supplementary admissions are still being processed for release.
• Candidates who are yet to upload their O’level/A’level result(s) on JAMB Portal are hereby advised to do so immediately to enable the University process their admission.
