NSUK – NYSC Partnership Soars As D-G Commends Collaborative Efforts

The Director-General of the National Youth Service Corp (NYSC) Brigadier-General Y.D. Ahmad has described the long standing relationship between NSUK and NYSC as a fruitful venture that has positive impacts worthy of emulation by other Institutions.

The D-G gave the commendation when the Vice-Chancellor of Nasarawa State University, Keffi, Professor Sa’adatu Hassan Liman alongside Principal Officers of the University paid him a courtesy visit at the Gowon House Headquarters of the NYSC in Abuja.

Brigadier-General Ahmad cited the MoU entered between the NYSC and NSUK for the training of Corp Members and members of the host community on entrepreneurial skill acquisition and development at the Magaji Dan Yamusa Orientation Camp, Keffi, as an admirable partnership that is impacting positively on youth activities of the two organisations.

The D-G who congratulated Professor Sa’adatu on her appointment as the 5th substantive first female Vice-Chancellor of NSUK and also for achieving great milestones in her first 100 days in office prayed for God’s divine guidance throughout her tenure.

In her remarks, the Vice-Chancellor stated that she was on a courtesy call to formally present herself to the D-G and to also appreciate the NYSC for the long standing relationship which has been very beneficial to both institutions.

Professor Sa’adatu while thanking the D-G and his management team for the warm reception accorded her and her team recalled that in 2023 then as Deputy Vice-Chancellor Administration she was at the Gowon House where she signed the MoU for the University on behalf of her former Principal then. She used the opportunity to solicit for more support and patronage from the NYSC.

The highpoint of the visit were the exchange of souvenirs by the two CEO’s.

Accompanying the Vice-Chancellor on the visit were the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academic and Administration, Professor Abdullahi Sallau Modibbo and Professor Theophilus Daniel Lagi, respectively, the University Bursar, Mallam Murtala Abubakar Kana, the University Librarian, Dr. Aliyu Abdulkadir and SSA to the Vice-Chancellor Mallam Auwalu Suleiman
