The management of Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto (UDUS) under the chancellorship of Prof Lawal Suleiman Bilbis, is set to matriculate her newly admitted undergraduate and postgraduate students of the 2023/2024 academic session on Wednesday, 22nd May, 2024, at the university’s convocation square by 9:30 am prompt.

According to the memo released by the university’s ceremonies committee, the matriculation ceremony is meant for newly admitted 100-level (UG1), 200-level (UG2) and postgraduate (PG) students who are not graduates of this university.

Part of the memo maintains that it is important for all fresh students to attend the rehearsal scheduled for Tuesday, 21st May, at the university’s convocation square by 9:30 am and the matriculation ceremony punctually. In due course, the management declared lecture-free on Tuesday and Wednesday for the matriculating students.

“Matriculating students are to note that filling of oath forms and signing of matriculation registers at faculty levels are vital and compulsory. Any student who fails to complete the oath form and signing of the matriculation register within the stipulated time frame would be shown the way out of the university by the university authority,” the memo contained.

It added, “Only those who have been matriculated would be considered bonafide students of the university.”
