LEAD CITY UNIVERSITY WINS INTER UNIVERSITY DEBATE COMPETITION

Lead City University has won an inter university debate competition in Osogbo. A student from the institution was also named best speaker overall.

Legitdan news report that Lead City University emerged winner of the Inter University Debate Competition hosted by Fountain University Osogbo on April 29, 2026.

Represented by the Lead City Intellectual and Debating Society, the university secured first place with a score of 84.6 percent ahead of eight competing institutions. Redeemer’s University placed second with 77 percent, while Osun State University recorded 71.4 percent.

In addition, Bodunde Ebenezer Olayemi of Lead City University was named Best Speaker Overall.

The winning team comprised Ebenezer Olayemi Bodunde, Khaerat Muhammed Raji, and Sharon Chimuayan Azaka.

The team was guided by Dr Anthony Amedu and Miss Deborah Anuoluwapo Demurin under the leadership of Abraham Adeniyi.
