FG DECLARES JUNE 12 AS A PUBLIC HOLIDAY
The Federal Government has declared Thursday, June 12, 2025, as a public holiday to mark this year’s Democracy Day celebration. A statement by the Permanent Secretary, Dr Magdalene Ajani, says the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo congratulates Nigerians on 26 years of uninterrupted democratic governance.
It adds that the minister describes June 12 as a symbol of the nation’s commitment to truth, justice, peace, and a renewed hope for the future.
The Minister reaffirms President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration’s dedication to democratic ideals driven by the will of the people.
